Ingredients of Caramel bread pudding:

  • 6 Bread Slices (around 1 cup cubed)
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 tsp Vanilla essence
  • 1/4 cup Sugar for caramel
  • 2 tsp Ghee

Method for "Caramel bread pudding":

  1. Take bread, milk, sugar, condensed milk, eggs and vanilla in a blender and puree till smooth.
  2. Take a baking pan, grease with some ghee. Sprinkle some sugar over it and place it over heat. Cook till your get nice caramel colour. Dont burn the sugar.
  3. Now cool the tin for few mins. Pour the prepared custard on top.
  4. Cover the pan with foil or plastic wrap and place it in a steamer and cook for 40 to 45 mins.
  5. Remove it and insert a knife to check whether the cake is done or not. Now place the pan in fridge and let it chill for 2 hours. Slice and serve.
